Small f ( internal ) facilitator - roles

Recently I came across an interesting Linked In post on small f Facilitator ! 😄 . This " small f facilitator is an internal trainer or an employee within a company . Can be a non L&D person too. A HR person or a facilitative functional manager .
Hence, results are expected from them and they cannot afford to be " neutral " .  Here are a few things they do or expected to do, and L&D pros who are working within a company ( or have worked in the past ) can easily related to this.

Basically, you’re the unsung hero who makes the magic happen... minus the clout. 😅😂
So what is a 'small-f' facilitator?
✨ A 'small-f' facilitator is someone who effectively uses facilitation skills to guide a team, without necessarily holding a formal title as a facilitator. This person brings the team together, focusing on both the technical aspects of the work and the overall problem-solving process.

Facilitating through change initiatives:
✨As organizations navigate change, a 'small-f' facilitator plays a critical role in bringing people together to realign around emerging opportunities or threats.
✨They help the team course-correct as needed and ensure everyone is aligned and progressing toward shared goals, often through "level setting" discussions.

Creating a collaborative environment:
✨A 'small-f' facilitator is key in creating an environment where everyone is brought together in the same time and space to work toward a common goal. This includes implementing new policies, setting priorities, and making sure all stakeholders are engaged and on the same page.
